As appears to be the personality of things in Playstation game releases, the summer time is nearly always the slowest time of the year. It’s been this way since the times of the Super Nintendo system ( and the reciprocal system from Sega, the Genesis ). The trend is to resume this year with the Nintendo Wii. We are often left needing a waiting in the summer time for new game releases. This is where import games become active. While state side we’ve run out of games to buy ( and play ) and needing for more, there are an entire slew of games being released ( or games that have already been released ) in Japan and Europe, that are sure to keep you busy in the slow summer months here in the States and Canada. You can definitely keep yourself busy and playing while not having to depend on the release dates for games here in NorthAmerica. And while we may safely say that all games from Britain and Europe are multi-lingual, suggesting that they have a Brit option available. Even plenty of the Jap games that have been released offer a full gaming experience simply because masses of the prompts, words, info screens are all in English. It is important for me to spot however that even with all these great games coming out in Japan and Europe while we are working with the slow down in game released here in Northern America, you can not just pop these games into your Nintendo Wii and expect them to load.

You will need a Nintendo Wii Mod chip like the Wiikey or the Cyclowiz or one of many other Wii Modchips on the market today. This is as the Nintendo Wii, like the Playstation two and Gamecube before it, has area coding on their games. And finally, the last of the the games in this post is a jigsaw puzzle game ( yes, jigsaw puzzles on the Wii CAN be fun you know ).

Titled Jigsaw Puzzle Kyou no Wanko, which approximately interprets to Jigsaw Puzzle : Today’s Dog in English.

This game features jigsaw puzzles based round the popular ( in Japan anyhow ) Kyou no Wanko segment that airs early mornings on Fuji television in Japan.

While it may not be your next first person shooter - it can offer many hours of party fun with your buddies and family ( and a method to show your ma and pa that you are largely using your cortex while playing a game too ).
