The World of Warcraft Community Exposed - Free Important Info

In recent years the gaming industry has taken monumental jumps. It has kept up with the also ever increasing technological capabilities and now, for some games it’s hard to tell if you’re watching TV or playing a game. I think the best type of games are the type you really can’t beat because then they never get boring and they never become one of those programs that sits on the shelf and never moves. A good example of these games are the many different type of simulators put out by Microsoft, also, the ever popular “SIMS” games, but what I would like to talk about is “The World of Warcraft”

This is a game that can be played by people of all ages and skill level. I’ve watched the community to see what it is all about and have found that “world of warcraft” is a literal name. There is really an entire world of people devoted to the game. If you have had the game for a while and have kept it to yourself, you’re missing out. Join the community and see how many different new ideas and secrets you can find.

I have found that it is important to develop your own technique, but after that you need to go to different people within the community and learn about other people technique. This is not to say you need to change, but you probably will be able to adjust and be even more successful. Have you ever heard the phrase “4 eyes are better than 2″ well imagine thousands of eyes. I’m sure there are many things that you missed, and will be able to go back and find after talking to people and getting there ideas.

You can also play this game online. Although I don’t have experience playing WOW online, I have played many games online and find it very fun. I think it’s a lot better when you know you’re playing a person rather than a computer. It adds even more realism to the game, or any game for that matter.

Me personally, I love to explore. I can’t get enough of it. These days it’s hard to get out and explore the world so why can’t we do it online, and settle just a little bit of the desire to explore new things. That is why I like simulator games so much. I am not limited to what the game can provide. I can keep adding new “add on” There is an unlimited amount of things you can do, but the key is to join communities. Do your research. There are many books you can get that will also help you build your experience. In any game and especially WOW you need to read and research. It’s not a game that you just jump into and start shooting things. You need to want to put time into it, expect that you will start out small and get larger, but only if you’re willing to put the effort and time into it. Warcraft

This is not work though, this is fun, you should be jumping at the idea of how long it will take, and you are never “the best” at Warcraft because there is always something new you can learn. I would suggest to go to Goggle and type in forums and message boards for WOW, take the time and read through them before you join, choose the one that will fit your goals the best and start posting and asking questions - Tips.

Get Useful Advice About If You Should Perform a Registry Scan on Your PC If Your Computer Is Running Slow

Having problems with a slow pc? We all go through that especially when your computer has been with you for over a year without any maintenance work or updates.

Ordinarily, many assume that the problems is in lack of memory and space, that your hard disk is full and you should just delete files to free up some space. Unfortunately while that may be one reason (if your hard disk is really full with less 5% space left), often times the problem lies in your registry files.

A registry is part of your operating system in Windows. It is a key tool to making your programs run. It starts to fail when you start changing your setting or from daily prolonged surfing online. It tends to get bloated with missing or invalid and obsolete entries.

Thus, the more you tinker with your system and download files to your computer, then delete them, the faster your registry will get fragmented, and the performance of your computer will be greatly affected.

Listed below are some of the common problems of a faulty registry:

• Your computer hangs. This is when the mouse cursor or keyboard stops responding. The cursor will not move at all. With this situation, you will lose your work (if not saved) because you will have to either manually restart your computer, or press on Control-Alt-Del.

• Surfing on the internet takes too long. The waiting time between opening and closing websites start taking too long. Plus, you cannot open video or music files without it stalling.

• Boot up takes forever. When you turn on your computer, and it takes forever to open, then you have a system problem. Many times, the cause of slow boot ups is caused by a bloated registry. You may also start seeing error messages about corrupt files.

• You see the blue screen. The kiss of death is when your monitor turns blue and you get a message about your system not functioning.

All these can happen suddenly and without warning, so your best option would be to find a registry cleaner that will prepare you for such eventuality or, better yet, prevent it from happening at all.

If you have any experience with how an operating system works, you can clean out your registry manually, although this could take a lot of your time, and you might delete an important operating system file in the process.

If you have no experience, there are several reputable registry cleaners products that will do the job for you. Look for one that can scan and automatically fix the problem by cleaning out obsolete files, then compressing your registry so that it will function like new. It would also be a good idea to find a registry repair program program that you can keep updated, thereby your computer is always updated as well.

There is something about your computer not functioning that gives you a sinking lost feeling, like someone died. Performing a system registry check will really make this scenario just about impossible.

Procedures for Pencil Portrait Sketching - Sketching a Chin Supporting Hand Including Shoulders

Including a hand in your portraits adds a significant measure of excitement but can quickly ruin an otherwise fine portrait if done badly.

The goal is to integrate the hand so that it is not only proportionally and gestural right, but is in agreement in personality with the expression of the face.

For example, an agreeable facial expression juxtaposed with a clenched fist may not yield the effect you want unless you intend to add an ironic twist to your portrait. On the other hand, a hand supporting the skull goes very well with a stern scowling expression.

First, absolute novices should not be trying to render both the hand and portrait together. Things will quickly get muddled. The lesson for the absolute novice here is to get an understanding of the significance of acquiring a solid foundation of your skill.

In a pose where a hand supports the skull there exists a faint forward tilt because the subject is a little bit hunched and leaning forward. For the artist, this situation translates into the presence of a faintly foreshortened and reclined portrait. In the hand/skull case this means that the chin is slightly receding relative to the forehead.

As always, you should begin with the construct, which in this situation, includes the hand and the shoulder. If you first render the skull and then attach the hand to it you are really asking for trouble. The hand and the skull will lack harmony and will give the awkward impression that they are two distinct objects that are coincidentally juxtaposed.

When sketching the complete arabesque be aware of the negative as well as the positive spaces. Also, do not pre-measure any aspects of the complete arabesque. It should be drawn with as much flair as possible without losing your sense of size. Strike first then verify.

Further build upon the complete arabesque by locating the face, hand, and shoulder marker
s and sizes. The internal architecture of the complete arabesque is initiated by hatching-in the primarydarks and painting out the lights with a kneaded eraser.

What you are doing is to set the stage for rendering the facial features, the hand, and the shoulder. The hand must be situated and proportioned in accordance with the skull and the facial features. The compression of the jaw into the palm must also be reckoned with.

Utilizing a sharp pencil you can now further develop the value and form with blending, stumping down, and painting out. In this, you will be going back and forth hoping that you know when to stop. Drawing is about making decisions, i.e., knowing what to build up and, just as important, knowing what to leave out.

In the hand/skull situation you have to be particularly careful how far you develop the hand. The hand should be seen as an extra element, that is, a supporting element that should not be part of the focus. Do not feel compelled to refine every element in your sketch. Everything in rendering is about equilibrium and transferring your intent directly to the viewer’s eye.

In closing, it is critical to see the hand and the shoulder as parts of one whole. Starting your sketch with drawing the complete arabesque will help you greatly with maintaining this harmony. Treat the hand and shoulder as supporting elements that surround the face. This means that you should render them in a subordinate role.

How to Improve PC Speed

Search more useful tips and tricks to improve internet speed

• Reduce the startup software: When you start up Windows, several programs start and get loaded on to memory. These take up precious memory. Ideally, you should remove them using the settings provided in the programs themselves. But, if you can’t, then use Startup Control Panel to do that. This program after its installation will be found in the Control Panel.

• RAM: A machine’s speed can be simply improved by adding more RAM rather than going for a CPU upgrade. Get some additional RAM and see the improvement. If you have adequate RAM, but memory supply seems to be bottlenecked, then use RamBooster. It routinely frees some memory and can be custom adjusted for your needs. There are several such programs, but most of them make your system unstable. I had found no such problems with Rambooster.

• Watch the programs in memory: Using software such as TaskInfo to find out which are the programs that are running in memory and weed out those that you do not need.

• Three-button salute: If you cannot get software such as Taskinfo, then just press Ctrl+Alt+Delete combination once to bring up the Close Program dialog box. Ideally, when you have all programs closed and your taskbar is empty, there should be just three programs in this box - explorer, system tray, and your antivirus program. All other programs should be a waste. Most common culprits are Microsoft office, RealPlayer, Winamp, antivirus scheduler, etc. Just remove all those that are not needed using Startup Control Panel or using msconfig from the Run dialog box.

• Increasing the performance of individual programs: You can increase the speed of a program, by setting the priority of the program’s process thread to either High or Realtime. Use TaskInfo (in Win 9x/ME) or Task Manager (in Windows 2000 by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del). Do not go overboard on this or your system will look very unresponsive.

• Active Desktop: Unless you run stock market price tickers on your desktop, deactivate Active Desktop to save memory. If you have enabled Active Desktop just to enable a GIF or JPEG file as the background, then convert the file to a BMP file and set that as the wallpaper without Active Desktop.

• Plain desktop: Remove the desktop background image and set it None. This will save some memory.

• Screen resolution: Set your screen resolution to 15 bit or 16 bit for both speed and saving memory. Set a higher level only when playing games and other such special stuff that require better resolutions.

• Clean the Desktop: Remove all unwanted icons from the desktop and shortcuts from the desktop and the quick launch bar. If you have shortcuts for CD drives, windows will check for their contents every time it loads up and cause a delay.

• Delete sound events: If you remove the sound events, your operations will get faster and are less likely to hang. To do so, go to Control Panel

Guidelines for Pencil Portrait Drawing - Stumping and the Kneaded Eraser

Once you have blocked-in the major value masses of your portrait you are ready to stump and “take out” the lights with a putty eraser.

A stump is a cylindrical tool tapered at the ends and commonly made of rolled paper.

Stumping then is to smudge or blend your hatchings with a stump. The intent of stumpingis to produce gradations and halftones and to give certain value areas a softer appearance.

Blending can be done in other ways. You can employ tissue paper or even your fingers or both. When using your fingers be sure to clean off any oily residues with a tissue.

Blending must be done in a painterly manner. You should figuratively carve out the form while invoking both the structural anatomy and the changes of the planes. As you draw identify each anatomical detail. This is especially advisable when you work on complicated structures such as the nose and the eyes.

In a comparable fashion you can employ your kneaded eraser to “take out” graphite to lighten certainareas. Again, go about it in a painterly way. Utilize the putty eraser as if it is a brush.

Now and again you may want to make use of the concept of “finality”. Your mind has a propensity to fill in the holes in your observations. That is, the mind has a need for “finality”. You can make thoughtful use of this propensity and leave certain parts of your portrait unresolved. It adds interest to your drawing as the viewer’s mind will unconsciously finish the portrait for you.

After you have done lots of stumping and removing graphite with your putty eraser it is time to further articulate the shapes and planes by cross-hatching with a harder pencil (e.g., a 2H pencil). But, there are a few things to look out for at this stage.

Be careful not to render the light side of the skull too darkly or it will look like a contusion. The smile-line is also difficult. If you over-stress it you will end up with a scoff. It is best to under-stress it and let the viewer’s sense of finalitiy finish it for you.

An important consideration must be made when sketching from a photo. A photo should only be reference material. That means aesthetic decisions must be made. For example:

- What type of emotional reaction are you after? When people see your portrait what type of initial gut reaction do you want them to have to your sketch. Good skill is certainly necessary. But it will count for little if it is frosty cold and dry.

- Make choices. You should not draw every small detail but only the important ones. Use your artistic sensibility to make these choices.

A hard 4H pencil can be used to make the already dark areas even darker through cross-hatching.

Careful attention needs to be paid to the edges of the shapes in your sketch. For example, as a form turns away from the light source its value progressively gets darker and takes on a soft edge.

A cast shadow has a hard edge. The shape of a cast shadow is determined by the shape of the object casting the shadow and the shape upon which it is being cast.

Terminate the sketch by paying attention to the important details. You also want to further tweak and balance the constructed tones. Your sketch must always read as a interconnected whole even though you decide not to bring it to a complete finish.

These few simple tips will set you on the right path. Apply them appropriately and soon your pencil portraits will show much improvement.

Guidelines for Pencil Portrait Drawing- Blocking-inLarge Masses of Value

In this article we will discuss the blocking-in of large masses of tone.

Tone is generally thought of as shadow. Beginners generally first sketch an outline of the shadow and then fill in the shadows bit-by-bit. They usually begin with an eye and then grow out the shadows. Inevitably, the result is a chaos of disconnected darks and lights.

There are two different ways of viewing tone: in Western culture we see tone as shadow; in Eastern culture tone is seen as color.

Applying, or more correctly, constructing tone should be approached with a sculptural sensibility. That is, think of your drawing as a piece of clay that is to be carved. Once roughly carved, you then mold the surface forms with varying intensities of tone while manipulating their edges.

A portrait sketching from life or (photograph) begins with the striking of the arabesque. Two things must be correctly drawn: 1. the form of the entire skull; and 2. the proportions.

Once the parts: a large light and a large dark. No more than that. At this stage, do not concern yourself with whether or not one area is darker than another. Only the major light/dark pattern counts.

Observe that squinting is a good idea to more clearly see the tone patterns because you are not distracted by details.

A good rule of thumb is to carve an area in two. For example, if an observed dark area is not completely uniform in tone divide it in two and block-in the two somewhat differing tones. Before long a complex yet cohesive array of tones will emerge.

From the blocking-in of the large darks you can then readily sketch the features. Over time you should try to remember the entire anatomy and “feel” the form three-dimensionally.

You must know your anatomy to succeed in sketching portraits even at the most basic level. Learn the anatomy in bite-size portions as you sketch along. It really is the best way to learn.

A good way to sketch is to toggle back and forth between line sketching and tonal sketching or hatching. Another way is to first do a entire line sketching of the subject. That is, to sketch a “map” of the skull that includes all planes and marks the boundaries of the various tonal areas. As a second phase you can then hatch-in the right tones.

While you shade be always aware of the planes of the skull and the bearing of the light source.

Another ablity to be acquired is the ablity to cross-hatch patches in a flat and even manner. There is nothing more distracting than scratchy looking cross-hatching.

Finally, take note of a strange optical illusion called “simultaneous contrast”. It takes place when light and dark tones lie next to each other. Generally, white is expansive while black is contractive. The result is that the white area looks larger than it is while the black area will look smaller.

In conclusion, keep the blocking-in process simple. Look for large masses first and then for the smaller ones. It is always better to sketch from the general to the specific. And, this stage, ignore the details.

Interactive Online Art Communities: Positive Points

Just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so is the richness and beauty of art. In the olden days, before the communications revolution, it was a few assorted experts, art critics and art galleries that decided what was art and how desirable it was. Anyone who did not have access to those experts and galleries had essentially no chance to have their art seen and discussed by an audience outside of friends and family. As a result, many great artists were never discovered and their art languished in their studios, seen by no one. This is really an unacceptable situation. Art should be accessible to anyone, and people should be able to discuss it, comment on it, and even submit their own art in places where artists and art enthusiasts gather.

Fortunately, the increasing ease of use of the Internet is changing the ways in which artists can present their work and invite feedback and discussion. The “Web 2.0″ concept is all about using web technology to bring people together and create communities and social networking. This means that individuals are no longer relegated to being simple consumers of whatever information is out there, but that they can generate information and content, including art, themselves. When you look at directions in entertainment, you see that traditional monolithic information providers such as commercial TV and newspapers are in the ropes while user communities and user-generated content flourishes. I myself hardly ever watch commercial network TV anymore. There is so much interesting stuff on the web that commercial-interrupted TV has completely lost its appeal.

The information revolution is also a massive boom to contemporary artists. Instead of waiting to be “found” by traditional galleries and art collectors, contemporary painters can simply display their work in one of the many online art galleries and communities. This does not guarantee fame and fortune, but it provides what many artists desire most: getting comments from peers and enthusiasts and to be able to make their art potentially available to millions, no matter where on the planet they may live.

There are any number of ways in which artists can take advantage of the web. They can use one of the main social networks, they can join special art communities and forums, or they can even create their own interactive online art galleries to display anything from landscape painting to portraits, sketches, abstract art or anything else they may specialize in. Visitors can browse the site and buy art directly from the artist. They can also interact with the artists via chat, discussion boards or other means of communications. Online gallery artists may also do video interviews or presentations, polls, classes or lead discussion groups. Site visitors may order art from artists whose work and style they like. The opportunities are endless.

The bottom line is that artists now have entirely new ways to show their work and communicate with art connoisseurs and potential buyers. There are no geographic limits, no artificial barriers, no waiting for galleries, and no reliance on connections with important people. The Internet and web are giving opportunity and access to everyone.
